BioShock Infinite has kept hold of its position at the top of the UK charts for the third week since it launched, according to UKIE. Its sales have fallen by 44% compared to last week, but that hasn't allowed any other game to take over. Tomb Raider, for instance, is still in second. UKIE says Tomb Raider has to “settle” for this position, but then the game has been out longer than Infinite and is doing well to stay so high up the charts this long after launch.
Defiance – a new entry last week that has proven overwhelmingly more popular on Xbox 360 (75% of sales) than on PS3 (20%) – has fallen to fourth position with a 41% drop in sales. The fall has allowed FIFA 13 to climb back up to third, the highest it's sat for seven weeks (though it hasn't dropped below sixth since it launched more than half a year ago). Luigi's Mansion rounds off the top five in fifth position, maintaining its spot from last week despite a 35% drop in sales,
A lack of new titles means some old ones have climbed back up to higher positions in the charts. Gears of War: Judgment has dropped two places to eighth, so Black Ops II and Assassin's Creed III have both managed to hop up a place to sixth and seventh respectively. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes finds itself back in the top ten (where it hasn't been since week 39 of last year) at number nine, and Far Cry 3 finishes off the set at number ten.
