Last year it was reported that big things were in store for both Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man, as far as their comic books were concerned. A huge cross-over was promised, the kind that one sees in the pages of Marvel and DC Comics, but even those never have their own trailers.
Well, here we have a (somewhat) animated look at Sonic/Mega Man: When Worlds Collide:
As you can see, the cross over will have it all: good guys from both sides, as well as the bad ones. Most curious of all is the mechanized versions for various Sonic characters. Mostly the b-listers like Shadow the Hedgehog.
Both the American Mega Man comic and Sonic comics are published by Archie, and who naturally are behind the crossover.
The former has been around for about a year and has gotten a decent amount of acclaim. Meanwhile, the latter has been around since 1992 and is without question the most successful comic based on a video game of all time.
For anyone interested in either, the Worlds Collide arc seems to be a good as reason as any to give either (or both) a shot. The first issue is available at comic shops now.
