The Assassin's Creed series is nothing if not creative, and quite a bit of that has rubbed off on its fans, one of whom, artist Chaoyuan Xu, has become somewhat renown for his artistic tributes to the games and their settings.
Known for his rendering of Assassin's Creed in China, the talented artist has today published three new panels of artwork today, depicting the protagonist of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Edward Kenway.
Edward can be seen on a little R&R as he strolls the beach with a child in his hand in one panel, while another panel depicts the swashbuckler with a sword in one hand and a gun in the other as he stands perched upon the mast of a burning galley. Lightning flashes in the background, highlighting his silhouette in the foreground.
The artist writes: "And so it's out! I can't wait to see how Ubisoft is going to present the story of Age of Discovery!"
We look forward to more of his work.
As I previously mentioned, Chaoyuan Xu is well known for his Chinese-themed artwork, some of which you can check out here. Ubisoft have also shown an appreciation for his art by sharing it on their Assassin's Creed Facebook Fanpage.
