Capcom have today revealed eight new screenshots for the upcoming Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen expansion which is due to be launched on April 26th for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Dark Arisen will expand upon last year's RPG – which sold 1 million copies in its first month – by offering a new difficulty level, new bosses and a new speed run option. The game will be available as either a digital or retail purchase for $40. While it looks like a hefty price tag for an expansion it seems it will be quite a large pack.
Capcom have said they want to turn Dragon's Dogma into a franchise though at the PlayStation 4's reveal event in February they announced Deep Down which appears to be set in a similar fantasy world suggesting this might be the last we see of the IP for some time.
The screenshots, which you can see below, show a variety of ruined environments and large monsters to confront. On a similar vein last night saw the release of the first screenshots for Dark Souls 2.
