Ubisoft is finally ramping up the PR for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, days after it was leaked ahead of its release. The latest trailer is designed like a cartoon from the 1980s and is reminiscent of the saturday morning cartoons G.I. Joe and Dino-Riders.
Set during the apocalypse of the apocalypse, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon stars Michael Biehn as Rex Colt, a cyber commando and a veteran of Vietnam War 2. Yeah, it's pretty damn ludicrous.
The trailer looks like it was recorded on an old VHS tape and is made up of bits of cartoon animation and actual footage of the game.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will be out on the PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network on May 1. It'll be available as a standalone title, so you won't need an existing copy of Far Cry 3 to get right into the action.
As I previously wrote, the game is now available for pre-purchase on Steam. You can also check out screenshots of the upcoming game.
