Plots and content for single-player campaign DLC have a tendency to leak ahead of schedule because of achievements. Most, if not all games come with achievements these days and they often surface prior to the launch of a game or its DLC weeks ahead of the actual release. This has lead to players uncovering the plots for God of War: Ascension, Borderlands 2, and a variety of other games, way ahead of their official release.
Today, the achievements for the first of BioShock Infinite's DLC has surfaced. Fortunately for everyone interested in the stories it has to tell, Irrational Games understands the nature of leaks and has had the foresight to label its achievements with placeholder titles, sans descriptions. They range from DLCA Achievement 1 to DLCA Achievement 10. The "A" in "DLCA" presumably refers to the first DLC, with the next titles being DLCB and DLCC, assuming Irrational retains the naming methodology.
The DLC is expected to be out in the near future, expanding upon the game's single player campaign in ways that no one has yet to predict. Given the fact that the campaign offers a storyline that wraps itself up, it can be hard to imagine where Irrational Games plans to go with the story.
Irrational plans to release three expansion packs for BioShock Infinite, all of which are included in the game's Season Pass. It's currently available for sale on Steam and through PSN and XBox Live. Irrational has hinted that the DLC will provide hours of additional gameplay with new stories, characters, abilities, and weapons in store for players.
We'll keep you abreast of the information about the DLC as it becomes available.
