BioShock Infinite’s Columbia Remade in Minecraft

April 10, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

This Minecraft project is a faithful recreation of Columbia.

Minecraft Columbia

BioShock Infinite is home to one of the most fascinating worlds ever created in a videogame. The game takes place aboard the flying city of Columbia, which defies gravity thanks to the magic of quantum mechanics and suspended particles.

More than just a city in the sky, Columbia hosts fine Neoclassical architecture, which has been lovingly reproduced in Minecraft by fans of the game. The entire project intends to recreate the city in its entirety, ranging from the earliest location in the game—the Lighthouse—to all of the game's areas, including Monument Tower, the Hall of Heroes, Finkton, and Comstock House.

You can check out their efforts in the gallery below. Full credit goes to Tiresh, the project's founder, for taking these screenshots.

The city of Columbia is an on-going project on PlanetMinecraft. You can check out the rest of it here.
