Virtuos has been confirmed to be working on the Nintendo Switch port of Dark Souls: Remastered. If the name rings a bell, it’s probably because you’ve heard of the studio’s work with Rockstar Games when bringing LA Noire to Nintendo’s Hybrid console at the end of last year.
The news comes from the title’s rating in Australia showing that Virtuos is working on FromSoftware’s classic for Nintendo’s console.
‘Re-experience the critically acclaimed, genre-defining game that started it all. Beautifully remastered, return to Lordran in stunning detail. DARK SOULS: REMASTERED includes the main game plus the Artorias of the Abyss DLC.’
In other Switch news, Nintendo wants to everyone in the household to own a Switch console – read more, here.
‘Where Nintendo aims to achieve this, is by positioning the console, rather as a handheld gaming device than a standalone unit. In a recent investor Q&A Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that they aim for the Switch to be owned by every member of the family and not just one person.’
Dark Souls: Remastered launches for Switch on May 26. The game runs at 1080p docked, features dedicated servers with up to six players, and includes the Artorias of the Abyss DLC.
