PC gamers rarely have anything to look forward to in the way of demos these days. With so much of the developer love going to consoles and only consoles, PC gamers are often left in the dust when it comes to finding out if the game they're looking forward to is worth playing. While the act of piracy is indefensible, many gamers resort to it because there's simply no other way of finding out if a game is worth playing.
With that in mind (one assumes), EA has announced that the "Crysis 2" multiplayer demo will be headed to PCs shortly before its release on March 1. The demo will include two maps, two modes, and provide gamers with what should amount to hours of multiplayer action.
Players will compete in small but tightly packed six vs six matches set in a war-torn Manhattan landscape. "Skyline" is set atop the rooftops and interiors of skyscrapers and "Pierce 17" provides an open environment with limited cover. The demo's two modes include "Team Instant Action" where players kill as many opponents as possible, and the more objective-driven "Crash Site," where players do battle for control of alien drop pods, earning points for defending their pods.
If anything, the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo will certainly provide a good change of pace from current games and give players a proper impression of the full game. Check out some neat HD wallpapers of Crysis 2, if you fancy them.
