After yesterday's discount on digital copies of both Spec Ops: The Line and Duke Nukem Forever (which you unfortunately had to purchase together to get the deal), PlayStation has announced the next offer in its EU PSN Easter-themed sale called the “PlayStation Store Egg Hunt”. Until 11:59am on Saturday the 6th of April (or, for some unexplained reason, the 8th of April if you happen to live in Turkey) you can download a digital copy of Assassin's Creed 3 for the PS3 for €34.99 or £24.99.
If you're trying to work out whether or not that's a bargain, well, the game originally cost €69.99 (or £49.99) on the PlayStation Store. Then again, you can get a physical copy for cheaper than even Sony's sale price on Amazon, so there isn't much to make this deal look even remotely worth it unless you happen to especially hate Amazon or plastic boxes or have a thing for buying direct from your PS3 itself.
Previous offers in this “Egg Hunt” sale have included Killzone & Infamous Bundle, Tomb Raider, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and Spec Ops and Duke Nukem Forever bundle. Given that each is live for 48 hours, and that the event will end on the 9th of April, we can expect to see two or three more games discounted over the next few days. If you were disappointed with today's offer – and I can't really see why you would be anything else – then what do you hope Sony discounts next?
