Mark Rein, Epic Game's vice president, has called Sony's next console "the world's best PC," in an interview with CVG.
The Unreal Engine maker executive hailed the PlayStation 4 for the "crazy, ridiculous stuff" developers can do with the system adding it was like "giving you the world's best PC.
"I think it's a smart move on Sony's behalf to build this sort of enhances PC architecture and then put so much in it. Let's not forget it has 16 times the memory we had in PS3. That's not insignificant. Knowing that every machince has that we can do crazy, ridiculous stuff."
Rein added "Even Windows for most people is tied to about 2GB of accesible memory space. This really opens up beyond what most PCs can do, because most PCs are running a 32-bit version of Windows. It's like giving you the world's best PC."
This isn't the first time Rein's heaped praise on the system previously saying "I am really excited, 8GB of super-fast RAM – holy cow!"
Other developers have offered similar takes on PS4 with Avalanche studio's Linus Blomberg commenting that the console will "out-power most PCs for years to come."
In addition Arkane's Christophe Carrier called the system's 8GB of memory "a joy."
Last week the PS4's lead system architect, Mark Cerny, spoke about how Sony aim to make the PS4 "richer and more accesible to developers."
