Big Boat Interactive’s remaster for the hit 1999 FPS/RTS title Battle Zone 2 has a release date. Publisher Rebellion announced today that the title will be arriving March 1st. The title will launch on Steam and GOG and offers more than 30 different unit types to manage.
The game puts players in command of both a group units in an RTS fashion and specific war machines in the FPS perspective. The remake, dubbed Battlezone Combat Commander, features multiplayer for up to 14 players at a time, mod support, 4K resolution support, and “rebalanced and refined” gameplay.
There will also be a co-op mode for those interested in taking down opponents together. What’s more, the title will include mod support, giving players even more hours of fun from the community.
Once arch enemies, the US and Russia abandon their space race and unite their forces in the face of impending alien attack. Combining to form the elite International Space Defence Force, they recruit you to help lead resistance, before total devastation is unleashed on the human race.
