Activision's Research & Development team has put together some new pictures of what could be the next title in the Call of Duty series, or Modern Warfare 4—for the lack of a better name. Some are calling it Ghost, but we're calling it MW4.
In any case, the screenshots were released at the Game Developers Conference to discuss Activision's commitment to the next-generation of gaming platforms. They were shown off at the studio's panel where they revealed a couple of characters, including an old man and a woman soldier.
The work was a result of a year of development at Activision R&D and offers a step towards photo-reality, with realistic hair, teeth, lips, and eyebrows. The old man's face, for instance, is peppered with liver spots and an assortment wrinkles.
The studio says that the screenshots are not representative of actual gameplay in the Call of Duty series, but there's a good chance that their next game could look as good as these screenshots.
