Last week rumors began to sprout up, hinting towards a possible delay of Bioware’s third-person MMO, Anthem. Some statements stated that a “2018 release was never realistic” in the first place.
Now in an investor call today, EA has confirmed that the title will be launching in Q1 2019 now. EA’s CFO Blake Jorgensen insisted that this is “not a delay”, and that this is just the process of trying to create a story. His argument was that “delay” is “the act of postponing, hindering, or causing something to occur more slowly than normal.”, this is not the case of Anthem.
I love Jorgensen stance insisting that they aren’t facing delay – right while the delay is announced. Ride or die I guess.
