Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag Gameplay Trailer, Collectors Editions

The promising next entry in the Assassin’s Creed series is shown off in a new trailer today, which displays different types of gameplay, settings and tries to fill us in on the new protagonist’s motives.

As Edward Kenway you’ll commit devious acts of theft, destruction and murder in a variety of exotic locations. You’ll hang out with famed pirate Blackbeard, jump from high places into water, shoot cannons from your ship into others and stab people with two swords. Want to shoot people with guns, too? It has both people and guns and provides the player’s ability to do that.

What’s more exciting is the options Ubisoft are providing for the specific way that you’d like to purchase this experience and what you get with it. This trailer is joined by a variety of special editions that each confer different things these are:

The Black Chest Edition (Uplay exclusive)

The Buccaneer Edition (exclusive to Game in the UK & GameStop in Ireland)

The Skull Edition (available UK market-wide)

The Special Edition (exclusive to Game in the UK & Xtravision in Ireland)

The first is a limited run that offers:

Also available in each edition is something called "The Watch" which serves as something of a "VIP Pass" for new customers. It's apparently a new social network.
