PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been infamously known as a cheaters playground with hackers making use of a variety of different tools to modify the game for specific players (speedhacks aimbot, ect), making life increasingly shitty for the common player. Luckily, PUBG Corp has been doing seemingly everything in its power to put a strong stomp malicious malcious players, it’s anti-cheating system Battleye bans around 6,000 accounts – and the team is hard at work to make sure that the system works even harder.
Via a new community update, PUBG Corp. stated that they’re ‘always working towards optimizing our gameplay environment.’ They noted that the team will be testing out a new anti-cheating system so players may experience a few performance issues.
‘We will also be testing a new security (anti-cheat) measure that is still under development but we want to start gathering some data regarding it’s stability and compatibility. Some PCs may experience compatibility issues during this test, which may cause crashes when starting the game. If this happens to you, please take a screenshot of the error screen and post it here ‘
As of now, there isn’t any word on whether the anti-cheat system has a release date or whether or not it will actually be implemented. Let’s just hope that it manages to clamp down more effectively than Battleye has.
