The province of Skyrim is not what you'd call warm. One of nine regions featured in Tamriel, typically the mountainous area is personified by its long, cruel winters and icy peaks rather than wildflowers and and its brief but beautiful summers. But with this new mod from Skyrim Nexus Forum user Soolie, players can trade the cold for heat and humidity as evergreens give way to tropical palms and exotic birds, turning the frigid forests into a fertile jungle.
Entitled Tropical Skyrim: A Climate Overhaul, the mod adds desert, beach, volcanos, lush bamboo forest and a variety of new flora and fauna to flesh out the perfect jungle atmosphere. While not compatible with many atmospheric mods, it more than makes up for it by also adding thematic weather and lighting elements, like sandstorms. The effect essentially turns your barren, snowy wasteland into a dense forest that Far Cry 3 itself would be proud of.
Sadly, the mod is not featured on the Steam Workshop and thus, has to be installed manually. To get the files, visit the Skyrim Nexus Forums.
