Bluehole Studio’s PUBG shows absolutely no signs of slowing down, with the recent release on Xbox as well, the subsequent clones that have been brought about from this title and it’s surpassing of Steam’s flagship titles DOTA and CS:GO – there was almost no doubt that the game would hit the golden 3 million concurrent players mark.
On December 29th PlayerUnknown announced that his game had officially snagged the golden title. It’s a pretty crazy amount considering how quickly the game has grown – and how it’s only recently left early access. I can only imagine the pride that the team behind this massively successful title must be feeling.

‘PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback. Starting with nothing, players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. This realistic, high tension game is set on a massive 8×8 km island with a level of detail that showcases Unreal Engine 4’s capabilities. ‘
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available on PC, and on Xbox One in early access via Game Preview.
