Nintendo has published a couple of TV spots for the upcoming Wii U game LEGO City: Undercover on its YouTube page, and while they're both short they do reveal a few pieces of information about the game.
The first video is titled “Vehicles”, and offers a quick look at some of the modes of transportation that players will be able to use in the game. “In LEGO City Undercover, you're going to need some sweet rides to stop all the criminals, the voiceover man says, as we see a helicopter drop an ice cream van onto the street. Luckily, it looks like we'll be able to fly the helicopter as well as drive that van. Naturally, we'll also get to drive a police car. Less naturally, we'll be able to hop on a lawnmower, as we see Rex Fury doing in a brief clip that has been included in previous trailers. Even more bizarrely, it's apparently possible in LEGO City to hang onto a chicken and use it to fly around. According to the voiceover man, players will have access to more than 100 vehicles. One of these seems to be a dinosaur, or the remains of one.
Next, we get a trailer that shows us some of the disguises Chase McCain can don to help him in his quest to fight crime. As we've seen in a previous video, McCain can dress up as a robber, which gives him the ability to “pry open any door”. No word on whether his garb will fool other robbers. Other disguises include that of a miner, which allows McCain to destroy certain obstacles, and a fireman, which allows him to put out fires.
LEGO City: Undercover is due to launch for the Wii U on March 18.
