Call of Duty: WWII Is The Best Selling Game Of The Year

December 15, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

Call of Duty takes place as the best selling game for a 9th year in a row.

According to sales tracking organization NDP Group, Call of Duty WWII has become the best selling game of 2017, despite only launching a month ago. This means that Call of Duty has taken the position for the best-selling game for the 9th year in a row, following last year’s Infinite Warfare release.

Call of Duty WWII has been highly anticipated since Sledgehammer Games announced the title. Most notably, fans were excited to make a ‘return-to-roots’ with the game’s World War 2 setting and considerably slower pace reminiscent of the older Call of Duty titles.

Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision, made a statement in resp0nse to NPD’s announcement, thanking the fans for their unwavering support:

“As proud as we are of Call of Duty: WW2, we’re equally proud that our talented teams have found ways to keep Call of Duty fresh, relevant and on top of the charts for nearly a decade—an amazing feat. Thanks to the greatest fans in the world for their passion and engagement with this awesome franchise.”

In other Call of Duty news, you can actually hire a professional Call of Duty player to grind the game for you, read more about it here.

‘Want to skip the progression for Call of Duty WW2 and prestige up without all the effort of playing for hours? We’ll now it seems you can hire a professional gamer to level up your account for you. Yes, you heard right. HIRE SOMEONE TO PLAY GAMES FOR YOU.’

Call of Duty WWII is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
