Want to play a game where you can kick a football around a pitch? There’s couple of possible options available. The first is to go outside and literally do that; I know, terrible idea, right? I’ll move on immediately.
The second is to play games from the previous years. They might not list that Steven Flipwastle has been signed as a player for the Berkshire Wildcats or throw realistic enough polygons onto the goalposts at Shropshire Men’s Athletic, but you’ll still be able to virtually kick a ball from where it was to where you think it should be.
If you’re a fan of wild speculation, however, there’s a listing on Amazon.de that FIFA 14’s coming to the PS4. FIFA 14 has already been confirmed that it’s due to be released around Winter time, so it’d be in line with our expectations for Sony’s console release.
Presumably this version will straddle both console generations, so don’t feel like you have to rush out and put in a preorder for the new console just so you can ensure Arthur Billdugery finally defends a penalty against anyone from the Southampton Scarecrows.
This post’s a little short and I’ve run out of things to say, so here’s the rejects of silly player and team names I came up with:
- Gareth Applebottom
- Northampton Planned Parenthoods
- Roger Hosepipe
- Lancashire Bellybuttons
- Aaron Smashmouth
- Chiswick Pancakes
- Alex Potassium-Deficiency
- East Suffolk Skrillexes
- Clive Maryland Cookie
- Tighty Isle Of Wighties
- Benjamin J. Climate-Change
- The Kent Whatevers
- Bill Poopfactory
