NVIDIA Releases Never Before Seen PUBG Screenshots

November 20, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

Yes, they’re from the unreleased map.

Battle royale shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has gained a fresh batch of screens courtesy of NVIDIA. We received several images last week which exhibited a rural desert map fitted with high-rise buildings, which we now know is part of a larger war-torn region.

In contrast to the base map Erangel, the city will be characterised by a general aura of decay, isolated villages, single-storey houses, oil rigs, and towers for a better vantage point from which to shoot the stragglers. Naturally, a side effect of making landscapes more barren is the potential for exposure, so expect a more intense challenge this time around.

NVIDIA will be giving away 5,000 copies of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to players in the NVIDIA GeForce Experience program, which typically rewards participants with game codes, graphics cards, USBs and beyond. If successful, you’ll receive a code for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds free of charge on November 21.

Many recent Steam reviews have critiqued the inequality created by accounts that are cheating and hacking the game. Bluehole Studios has since responded by permanently removing the associated accounts, which now total 700,000.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is out now. You can pick it up through Steam for $29.99 USD.
