When anyone brings up Apple most people tend to think about the Mac's, newer iPhones and the iPod Touch. Most people almost forget that the iPod Classic still exists and can be purchased today. Now where the iPod Classic truly shines is the ability to store over 100GB of content which of course is excluding the ability to have apps like the newer iPhone and iPod Touch models. The last update Apple gave this iPod was back in 2009 so it's a wonder if this device wil die off. However Toshiba could breath new life into the once new and coolest thing around. Right now if you purchase the highest model of the Classic you will get a 160GB of free space to fill up with pictures, videos and music. But Toshiba has a new 1.8" hard drive called the Mkxx39GSL. This could give the iPod Classic a upgrade from 160GB to a full 220GB. Apple has not official stated if they will go through and upgrade the iPod Classic and put in the new hard drives so only time will tell if they keep this iPod alive and give it the upgrade it deserves.
