With the current generation of consoles, we’ve seen videogaming pushed to its limits like never before – we have seen games launching with massive open worlds, amazing graphics and network capabilities built into nearly every aspect. Games like Destiny and The Divison have been the forefront of these statements bringing the MMORPG experience, which has nearly been exclusive to PC, to PS4 and Xbox One.
The most recent game following the MMO format being Bioware’s Anthem – some people are hyped for a Bioware take on the genre (if you don’t count Star Wars: The Old Republic) some are skeptical, stating that it looks too much like Destiny – either way, it seems exciting.
What doesn’t seem exciting, however, is that Lead Animator, Steve Gilmour has officially left the studio. With the whole issue of Mass Effect: Andromeda’s facial animations looking like a PS2 game – this is certainly bad news.
While as of now we don’t really know what the reasoning for the leave was, the title still has a year of development before it launches in 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, so the studio still has some time to find somebody else to fill that position. Let’s just hope it’s done fast to prevent possible delays.
