By now, chances are you already know that Dead Space 3 will offer optional micro-transactions to help you craft weapons and other equipment in the game.
Fortunately for those curious, in yesterday's PlayStation Store update, Sony has listed exactly how much a resource pack will cost, as well as the different outfits Clarke will have access to on day one, which franchise producer Steve Papoutsis detailed the other day.
Without further ado, here are items and their respective prices for those who want to craft weapons faster and easier in Dead Space 3 (via Destructoid):
-
Bot Capacity Upgrade $4.99
-
Bot Personality Pack $4.99
-
First Contact Pack Free
-
Marauder Pack $4.99
-
Sharpshooter Pack $4.99
-
Tundra Recon Pack $4.99
-
Witness the Truth Pack $4.99
-
Bot Accelerator $4.99
-
Epic Weapon & Resource Pack $2.99
-
Online Pass $9.99
-
Ultra Weapon & Resource Pack $1.99
-
Resource Pack $0.99
Not surprisingly, Dead Space 3 will have an Online Pass with the now-standard price of $9.99. This is, of course, for secondhand buyers of the game who wish to play the co-op online.
While these packs are optional and in no way required to finish the game, I can see people biting at that Resource Pack just so they can craft their preferred weapon as early as possible. Of course, they can't craft every weapon straight out of the gate as that will severely break the game — a fact Visceral knows full well.
Would you pay $0.99 just to make your weapon crafting life in Dead Space 3 easier?
Dead Space 3 is set for a February 5 release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
