Irrational Games has put together a creepy new trailer of the upcoming BioShock Infinite.
The trailer is designed as an old documentary from the 1960s, and tells of how the flying city of Columbia first made its appearance at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The city, it is said, was designed by a visionary named Zachary Comstock, whom the keen-eyed among you might recognize as the messiah-like "Father Comstock", revered in posters throughout the city. He's a self-proclaimed prophet who worships the founding fathers of America—and the trailer exists as the first instance we've seen of the game's religious undertones.
BioShock Infinite is slated for release this March on the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. You can pre-order the game and get a bunch of goodies for doing just that—so be sure to read up on the details.
The game is also being accompanied by an e-book novel with some backstory of the game's setting, Columbia.
