CVG's gotten ahold of the latest trailer for the superhero game Injustice: Gods Among Us. This time the trailer reveals a small bit of Lex Luthor's gameplay who appears to be fighting on the side of Batman.
If you're not familiar with the game, Injustice is a fighting game based on DC comic book characters that serves as its own standalone story. According to users at NeoGAF, the story appears to be about Superman 'losing it' and putting the world under military rule. The other heroes eventually appear to fight back, and chaos ensues.
Officially however, it has only been said that the story takes place "in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred" with "heroes and villains engaging in epic battles on a massive scale." The story was also described to rationize the game's fighting mechanics between characters that would not normally fight one another and explain how characters like Batman can "stand toe-to-toe" with characters like Superman.
Perhaps mostly interestingly, the game is being made by NetherRealm Studios, the team behind Mortal Kombat. In the past, there have been DC/Mortal Kombat crossovers, so the team is not new to the comics-turned-into-video games front.
There have been fan complaints however, of a lack of publicity and information on the game seeing as it will be released soon. Specifically, Injustice will be released in the U.S. on April 16,2013 and on April 19, 2013 in Europe for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
