GameStop Will Have SNES Classic Stock Tomorrow; Will Be Limited

September 28, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

Walk-ins are encouraged to come in as early as possible.

If you’re looking to pick up Nintendo’s SNES Classic at launch tomorrow we have some good news for you. GameStop and ThinkGeek stores will have units available for walk-in shoppers.

In a statement, a GameStop representative said the stores will have a “limited and varied amount of consoles,” so by the sounds of it, it seems like there is no guarantee that you’ll get one – so it may be a good idea to arrive bright and early to make sure you purchase yours.

Unlike the NES Classic Edition which came at a price point of $59.99, the SNES Classic Edition will be priced at $79.99 and will come pre-loaded with 21 games.

We’ve recently drawn up a guide providing all the details of the SNES Classic, check it out here if you are interested in knowing more about the console.

It doesn’t come to any surprise at all that Nintendo would follow up their highly successful Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition, otherwise known as the NES Mini, with a SNES edition. The Nintendo company announced the SNES Classic Edition through Twitter and since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to get their hands on a unit.

With the Nintendo SNES Classic Edition releasing tomorrow, September 29, 2017, here’s a quick recap of everything you need to know about the miniature plug-and-play style console. Likewise, check out our guide on how to unlock the fabled Star Fox 2.
