The developers of Xenoblade, MonolithSoft, have announced a new game for the Wii U, which appears to be in the vein of the aforementioned title and Monster Hunter.
The upcoming game, which remains an unnamed project as of now, is expected to be released later this year. A full announcement of the game is expected to be made at the upcoming E3 2013, which takes place in June later this year.
MonolithSoft made the announcement at Nintendo’s press event this morning, and revealed a video demonstration of the game in action. Watch the video below:
The game’s character design is being headed up by Kunihiko Tanaka, best known for his work on the Xenosaga and Xenogears franchise, of which the upcoming game is expected to be a part of. He also made his mark in anime with Key the Metal Idol and Ichigeki Sacchu.
The upcoming game is expected to play very much like the previous game in the Xeno series. Like Xenoblade was to the Wii, the future title will be exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U.
