Today's US PlayStation Store update will bring another title to the collection of games PlayStation Plus members can get for free: Darksiders. If you haven't played it, it's an action-adventure game in which you play War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It had pretty good reviews when it came out in 2010.
Oh, and it was published by the recently bankrupt THQ, which is probably why we're getting it for free, though I don't want to get my hopes up thinking we'll also see Darksiders II coming to the Instant Game Collection any time soon.
The update will also restore Infamous 2 to the collection of free downloads, as its removal was apparently an “error”.
The only other deal for PlayStation Plus members is a discount for Vita game StarDrone Extreme, which has been cut from $3.99 to $2. It apparently involves shooting a spaceship out of a cannon and into outer space, and combines elements of shoot' em up, pinball, and collecting elements in one game, so if that's your kind of thing now is the time to buy.
Are you a member of PlayStation Plus? Will this update make you any more likely to subscribe?
