Capcom Vancouver, the studio responsible for creating zombie game Dead Rising 2 has been given the honor and great responsibility of creating Capcom's "next big game". The studio was previously known as Blue Castle Games before being incorporated into Capcom as a result of Capcom trying to extend their reach in the Western markets. Capcom Vancouver had previously created a sports game as well as Dead Rising. But the studio looks like it's ready to tackle another genre, as they've announced their title won't include any zombies.
Details are vague because work on the untitled game is only just beginning, and according to the post Capcom is only halfway through even staffing for the project. Plenty of jobs remain at this time, like ones asking for software engineers and game designers. Of note, the senior game designer position would have experience developing third-person AAA games, so that gives us a good idea of what genre the developer is planning on trying out.
The post on the website is short and sweet, saying they've assembled a "crack team" and are looking for people from junior to senior positions, and then adding a "P.S…No Zombies."
