Developer Digital Arrow is serving up a thrilling new species of first person shooter in Aquanox Deep Descent, and lucky for us, there’s a new trailer ready in time for PAX West.
Aquanox Deep Descent takes Rocket League, Abzu and Titanfall, puts them into a melting pot, and magically transforms into a dystopian atmospheric FPS worthy of its own X-Files episode. You control a customisable ship, which is manned by expertly trained fighter pilots who get to mine, salvage, loot and torpedo their way through the uncharted.
Set in the not too distant future of 2370 A.D., Aquanox Deep Descent provides a glimpse of a post-apocalyptic Earth, where the surface is no longer survivable and all humans have been forced to adopt more aqueous lifestyles in underwater settlements. The change in scenery hasn’t stopped our blood lust for war, as evidenced by different factions competing for resources.
Multiple playstyles are supported in-game, as well as a 4 player co-op drop-in mode. Classic multiplayer options including team deathmatch are available, and of course, you have the freedom to engage in the pure bliss of underwater exploration,
Aquanox Deep Descent will be playable at PAX West and is looking to release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
