The Walking Dead by Telltale Games was, by all accounts, an enormous success. It sold over 8 million copies and won numerous Game of the Year awards in 2012. It's not surprising, therefore, that Telltale intends to develop a second season of the game which picks up where episode 5 left off with a new story with all new horrors to overcome.
For players of the first season of the game, Telltale is developing a feature that'll allow players to import their save files so the game preserves all the decisions that were made with the right consequences.
In a new interview with Red Bull, the game's producer Dan Connors said of the game that they're only just now starting production for season 2. "Right now we are just starting to form the concept for season two," he said. "This all remains to be seen but we are definitely figuring out how to carry the saves over."
In the interview, Connors expressed his interest in working on a Half-Life adventure game, among other things.
"Coming from LucasArts we always felt we could do a great Star Wars story game. We also love the idea of building out a deeper story to a great game franchise, something like Half Life Stories or Halo Stories."
How would a Half-Life adventure game play out, I wonder? Let's hope that Valve's every bit as open to the idea as I am.
