Remember Brink? That first person shooter ‘cops and robbers’ styled title which released way back in 2011? Well, Bethesda has now released it as a free-to-play via Steam.
When I first hopped into Brink about 6 years ago I personally loved it, it was the first multiplayer-parkour game I got my hands on which had game-modes that actually seemed fresh and new. Seems like I was one of the few people that shared that sentiment because the game actually had loads and loads of negative reviews, some complaining that it was too clunky or lacked variety.
Brink is a game I believe is definitely worth your time, the parkour mechanic is awesome, the weapons look brilliantly trash, shooting is fun as solid – and if you have a friend down to play, the co-op component will lead to hours of lost time. It’s free, so why not give it a go?
‘Brink is an immersive first-person shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character whether playing alone, with your friends, or against others online. You decide the combat role you want to assume in the world of Brink as you fight to save yourself and mankind’s last refuge. Brink offers a compelling mix of dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system that will keep you coming back for more.’
