Remember the previously report item about the creators of Zork getting the Pioneer Award by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences? Specifically, how Wired presented their interview with Dave Lebling in the form of a text adventure?
Who among you tried playing it and found the experience supremely difficult? It's okay; old school text adventures are as tough as nails. But those interested in further punishment (because old school text adventures also happen to be awesome) might be interested in the just released The Lost Treasures of Infocom for iOS.
The collection has been the talk of the town these past few days, at least among certain circles. It boasts 26 classic adventures games, which totals around 350 hours of gameplay, and all for just $10.
The app is initially free and comes Zork 1, though everything else is available in five packs for $2.99 each. Or simply pass along $9.99 to get everything, plus the unpublished Zork: The Undiscovered Underground as a bonus (which is a large reason for the excitement among longtime fans).
