Bastion’s Narrator Comes to DOTA 2

December 20, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Rucks, the narrator of Bastion, is now available as an announcer in DOTA 2.

A piece of Bastion is now a part of DOTA 2. Sadly, if you were hoping to play The Kid as hero in the game, you'll have to look elsewhere—like Bastion, for example. Instead, you can experience a piece of Bastion in DOTA 2 through the game's newly released Bastion announcer pack.

Rucks, the narrator of Bastion, is now available as an announcer in DOTA 2. You can now hear the soothing sounds of the gravelly voiced old man whose character is given life by Logan Cunningham as he informs you of your successes and failures in the game. Priced at a rather hefty $9.99, the package contains both the regular Announcer and the Mega-Kills Announcer. Grab it here or from the in-game store.

The pack comes as a part of the game's newly released update, which includes the Frostivus event, 11 new hero sets, and a gameplay update.

Here's the announcer's voice, if you need to be reminded of how he sounds like.
