Today is the 25th birthday of Mega Man, and in addition to the aforementioned release of Street Fighter X Mega Man, Capcom has also announced that his first six adventures, Mega Man through Mega Man 6, will soon be appearing on a 3DS near you.
The first Mega Man is set to debut on the eShop on December 27. Unlike their appearances on the NES, in which each subsequent sequel was released about a year apart, Mega Man 2 will be available just a few weeks later, on February 7.
Parts 3-6 are scheduled to arrive not that much longer thereafter, and every installment should be out by the end of 2013. Hopefully sooner.
No doubt that Mega Man 2 will see the strongest sales, since its widely regarded as the best entry. At least among casual players. Meanwhile, diehard Mega Man fans are perpetually debating as to which the best one truly is.
My vote goes for part 3, though part 5 is a strong second place. Part 4 is not too shabby either.
