Christmas is just around the corner and with it — comes gifts! One popular stocking-stuffer every year are Call of Duty games; or in this year's case, Black Ops 2.
While parents, relatives and loved ones mean well when they give Call of Duty games as presents, they're forgetting that the Call of Duty game they're giving away is a month old, which is an eternity in multiplayer gaming time. By now, these level 1 players will face hardened veterans who know the ins and outs of each map, know which loadout to use in any scenario and in essence, not a "noob" anymore.
This has become an annual tradition for Call of Duty games that they're now coined as "Christmas Noobs." It seems this thinking hasn't escaped even Treyarch, as they've uploaded the new Message of the Day and it addresses the Christmas Noobs.
Spotted over on Reddit, here's the "Christmas Noobs" Message of the Day:
While some people might take offense in being labeled as "Christmas Noobs," Treyarch does have a point in their message. I suggest those level 1 players take a tour of Boot Camp first before diving head-on to the multiplayer. I mean, no one wants to play alongside "feeders" and with people that have no idea what they're doing.
Of course, for people who've been playing Black Ops 2's multiplayer since day one (like me), I wouldn't mind matching up against Christmas Noobs to get an easy kill or two. It depends if and when vets will be matched with them, though. But if the playlists are too crowded and a ton of Christmas Noobs are in your territory, don't be surprised to be playing against level 1 scrubs in the coming days.

Are you one of the Christmas Noobs or are you one of the people preying over the unknowing crowd of "CoD Noobs?"
