Resident Evil 6 PC Specs Revealed, New Update In January

A digital release is also due on Xbox 360 this holiday season.

This upcoming spring, one of the year's most critically panned games will have a new home. Today Capcom has confirmed the March 22, 2013 debut of Resident Evil 6 on PC, with a digital release in North America, and a digital and disc release in Europe. The Steam version will support Cloud saving, achievements, overlay, leaderboards, and friend support, and both versions will contain all the content also included in the free updates on console, including the Ada Wong campaign and the No Hope difficulty mode.

The suggested minimum specs:

     OS: Windows Vista®/XP, Windows 7, Windows 8

·         Processor: Intel® CoreTM2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or better, AMD AthlonTM X2 2.8 Ghz or better
·         Memory: 2 GB RAM
·         Hard Disk Space: 16 GB free hard drive space
·         Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GTS or better
·         DirectX®: 9.0c or greater
·         Sound: Standard audio device
 
The recommended specs:
 
·         OS: Windows Vista®/XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
·         Processor: Intel® CoreTM 2 Quad 2.7 Ghz or better, AMD PhenomTM II X4 3 Ghz or better
·         Memory: 4 GB RAM
·         Hard Disk Space: 16 GB free hard drive space
·         Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560 or better
·         DirectX®: 9.0c or greater
·         Sound: Standard audio device
 

Additionally, a new update is due next month, adding Agent Hunt Mode, Stage Selection (allowing players to revisit individual stages within chapters once they've been completed), and QTE assist in Amateur. Players will receive the update on January 22, 2013. Resident Evil 6 will also be available as a digital download during the holiday season through Games on Demand.
