PS3 and Xbox 360 players might have had their fill of slaying J'avos and their like, but now PC players can get in on the act soon, as Capcom has announced the PC version's release date.
In a post over on the official Capcom Unity blog, the publisher announced that Resident Evil 6 for the PC will be available for download on March 22, 2013. It will include all console content, as well as any future content that arrive as free title updates. For now, there's no word if the game will receive a physical release, but it doesn't look like it.
Capcom has also revealed the host of features Resident Evil 6 will have on Steam and you can see 'em below.
-Cloud Saving
-Steam Achievements
-Friends support
-Game overlay
-Leaderboards
Capcom also revealed the list of changes today's title update will be bringing to Resident Evil fans and the list is below, too.
-Unlocks Ada's campaign from the start (don't have to finish the others for access)
-Unlocks optional co-op partner for Ada's campaign (human controlled)
-Adds more camera functionality; zoom in and out to your liking
-Unlocks "No Hope" difficulty mode. It's… hard 🙂
There will also be a second title update on January 22, adding the following adjustments:
-Agent Hunt mode unlocked from the start
-Agent Hunt selectable criteria before starting match (stage, region, settings like infinite ammo or friendly fire)
-Stage selection within chapters
-QTE assist; you have the option to automatically complete most QTE events (a relief on Professional, looking at you Simmons)
Finally, the publisher has also revealed that Resident Evil 6 will be available on the Xbox 360's Games on Demand later this year, but at an unspecified date. Just in case, y'know, you'd rather have a digital version of the game and you don't want to swap discs.
So, any PC fans looking forward to Resident Evil 6 or has the less-than-stellar reviews for the game's console versions sullied your excitement?
