Two new job listings have popped up over at SuperBot Entertainment suggesting that Sony may have greenlit the development of PlayStation All-Stars 2, foreseeably for the company's next-generation platform, which we're tentatively referring to as the PS4.
The two ads showed up on Gamasutra and a few other job-search websites indicating that SuperBot Entertainment is hiring a new Art Director and a new Game Designer / Implementer. The description for the project that the Art Director would be in charge of reads as follows:
"A project such as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which by definition brings together elements ranging from an incredibly wide range of artistic styles, requires a strong and unifying vision to present a cohesive and polished product."
The listings also emphasize that SuperBot Entertainment is a Sony-exclusive developer, and that they recently released their first title, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, for the PS3.
Applying designers are required to possess a "near encyclopedic knowledge of modern games, with emphasis on PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale", with “knowledge of fighting games, their systems and mechanics a serious plus."
Assuming the game does get made, it's certain to be a launch title for Sony's next-gen console.
