Inspired by monster-raising RPGs like Digimon World, Fantasy Life and the Monster Rancher series, Re:Legend has quickly become a kickstarter favourite. Just one day into its campaign, Re:Legend has almost reached its funding goal of S$ 70,000 goal. Shota Nakama (Video Game Orchestra, Final Fantasy XV) will also be collaborating with Falk Au Yeong and Yoshitaka Suzuki (Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy) on the game’s soundtrack.
Set in a world where mythical creatures called ‘Magnus’ come to life, Re:Legend invites players to craft, farm, fish, and build beautiful villages. Vokka island is teeming with dangerous challenges to overcome, but there’s also life skills like cooking, mining and weaponry to level up. Re:Legend has most of its features built around multiplayer and support up to four players. Of course, there’s a detailed customer characterisation option players can use to make their hero look unique and stand out from other villagers.
Re:Legend is slated to release in 2018 for PC. Pending a successful kickstarter campaign, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions are also on the table.
