Spike's Video Game Awards were pretty decent this year, for a change. There were few dick jokes, no teabagging, skits, or music nobody cared for. There was a bit of Linkin Park, but that was about it. Most of the show exhibited the kinds of things people actually tuned in to watch it for: video game trailers.
Among one of the new trailers they showcased at the VGAs was a new gameplay video of Bioshock Infinite. Although delayed by a month, the game is looking better than ever before.
The new trailer shows DeWitt's first encounter with Elizabeth as he drops into her room and rescues her from Songbird and takes her on a ride with the Skyrail. He finds himself in the midst of a civil war between the game's two main factions, both of whom want to capture Elizabeth for their own reasons.
He takes a whole lot of them out with a multitude of weapons available to him and the trailer promptly ends when a Handyman shows up and gorilla-bashes the ground to show his dominance as DeWitt unloads rockets into him.
You can expect a cleaner and higher definition version of the trailer to be out shortly.
