Sony has released a new teaser trailer for Naughty Dog's highly-anticipated The Last of Us. Notice I said teaser trailer since it's just that — a teaser trailer for the upcoming trailer that's set to debut on December 10.
While the footage below is but a scant few seconds long, it shows an unnamed man who's about to be tortured by whom sounds to be like Joel. This unnamed man is bound and on the floor with a look of terror on his face, as the other guy (Joel?) picks up a blade and mutters "we don't have to do this;" which makes me think that the bound man is an enemy of some sort who's witholding info. Maybe Ellie's been captured and Joel is going to torture him until he spills the details?
While the story trailer itself will be revealed on December 10, do keep in mind that The Last of Us will also be making an appearance at this year's Video Game Awards show (VGAs) on December 7, which is this coming Friday. Will it show the same thing? Hopefully, it will be different since there's no sense showing us an old trailer once December 10 hits, no?
Do you think it's Joel who's holding the blade? If so, why is he going to torture the guy? Speculate away while we wait for more The Last of Us footage to hit.
The Last of Us is scheduled for a 2013 release exclusively for the PS3.
