When Rockstar finally announced Grand Theft Auto V, many were quite jubilant by the news. Except for one: PC games. Who were confused and alarmed that a version for their platform of choice was not mentioned.
Granted, it took a little while for the PC variant of part 4 to make an appearance as well. Though given how the non-console version is arguable the best, if only for all the wacky mods that are available, the frustration is understandable.
At any rate, those who are in the same boat and less than patient have at least one new option at their disposal: signing an online petition that demands one, in hopes of attracting Rockstar's attention.
Unlike many similar attempts, this one is fairly to the point:
To:
Rockstar GamesPlease release GTA V on PC. GTA games have been a large part of so many peoples lives and it's a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have.
I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it'll make many people very happy!
Sincerely,
[Your name]
As of this writing, almost 75,000 people have signed and it shows no sign of slowing down. And given how plenty of parties have made note of the effort, it might have already gotten the job done of getting Rockstar's notice.
Unless they're way too busy working on the aforementioned Xbox 360 and PS3 ports to really notice. Which is a possibility.
