The builder-explorer-hack-and-slasher Minecraft has been updated yet again by its developers Mojang, bringing the game up to version 1.4.5. This patch is minor compared to some of the previous builds and was released to fix numerous bugs including issues with LAN servers, IPv6 servers, and bugs relating to baby animals and baby villagers.
In addition to the new update, the developers have also announced their plans for the future, which includes a modding API so modders will have a much easier time working with the game, a global friends list, horses, red dragons, and the addition of capes and cloaks for characters.
Additionally, Mojang has announced its plans to continue its collaboration with C418 for world-specific music, more item noises, battle music, and even a combat song that plays whenever you’re being chased around by monsters.
The studio’s also working on improving how biomes mesh into each other, the full details of which can all be read on Redstonehelper’s post on Reddit here.
