Tokyo 42 Now Available for Xbox One and PC; New Launch Trailer Debuts

May 31, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

The time has finally come!

Indie developer SMAC and Mode 7 have finally released their long-awaited title Tokyo 42 today for Xbox One and PC users. For those who don’t know, the game is a semi-top down shooter game, which is heavily inspired by titles like Syndicate and the original Grand Theft Auto.

Today, to celebrate the release of the game, the developers have released a new launch trailer for the game. The trailer showcases the game’s super stylish art style while also showing off some of the gameplay mechanics – stealth, twin-stick shooting action and much more.

Check out the launch trailer for Tokyo 42 down below:

Official description of Toyko 42

Tokyo 42 is a hyper-stylish isometric open-world shooter. Framed for a murder you didn’t commit, you’ll delve into a world of assassins, deadly corporate intrigue and…tactical cats.

Spin the camera to see every angle of this beautifully hand-crafted micro Tokyo, as you discover a huge range of weapons, secrets and stories.

Skilful shooting, bullet physics, sneaky stealth and crowd simulation all play a role in this ultra-colourful kinetic frenzy.

A single player open-world story mode and compelling multiplayer deathmatch arenas await in this unique and critically acclaimed action masterpiece.

The game has been in a long development and fans who have been waiting for the game can finally jump into the title right now. If you are just hearing about the game and want to learn more about it, you can read our interview wth game’s developers for more information.

Tokyo 42 is now available for Xbox One and PC platforms for $19.99.
