Just the other day, we reported on how PS3 users can't seem to download the Nuketown 2025 map that came with their copy of Black Ops 2.
If you're one of the many unfortunate souls who has experienced this, Activision has provided a customer support site. Just go and fill out this form to get a replacement code which should allow you to download Nuketown 2025 and play it once you download the 185MB map. Of course, there's also the Double XP event for Black Ops 2 players, so that code will not only give you access to the reimagined map, but give you an added XP boost, too.
This is not the first time Black Ops 2 on the PS3 is suffering from technical issues. Just the other day, we wrote a piece on how the PS3 version of Black Ops 2 was freezing consoles and had matchmaking issues as well. Based on first-hand experience, the freezing issue is definitely real. I had my console freeze on me three times already and the only way to fix it is to reset the entire thing.
What's more, even the matchmaking issues hasn't been resolved yet. It might just be me, but whenever I join a public game for Team Deathmatch or Domination, it takes me a lot more time than usual to actually get in a match. Hopefully, this gets resolved soon or otherwise, PS3 players will really think they're second-rate Call of Duty buyers, no?
Are you still experiencing matchmaking issues and freezings on Black Ops 2 for the PS3? What about the Nuketown 2025 code? Have you redeemed it already? If not, I'm hoping the link above will sort it all out.
While you're waiting for your match, why not read up on Black Ops 2's game director David Vonderhaar talk about weapon balancing in the game?
