Still playing Titanfall 2? Good, because it’s quite possibly one of the most underrated games of 2016. The fast-paced combat and extremely versatile maps kind of gives me the impression of how Call of Duty should’ve gone following Black Ops 3.
Since release, Respawn has been dedicated to providing fans with continuous free content, last month saw the release of a new map, a new weapon and prime titans. This month Respawn continues the trend, providing players with more skins, a new Titan, a new Map, and some fixes to the existing map, Crashsite.
The new Titan is called Monarch and is described as a “mid-range Vanguard-class” whose Upgrade Core allows players to gain upgrades the longer it stays alive. The Titan’s versatility lies in the fact it can drain energy from other Titans to replenish her shield or her allies. The longer Monarch stays alive the closer players get top her “Final Form”. Expect a trailer and more information on this upcoming Titan at a later stage.
The upcoming map is a revisit of an original Titanfall map called Relic, players can also expect some changes to on of the more frustrating maps, Crashsite, fixing existing collision bugs and introducing ziplines, along with more places to wall run.
The update will bring new Prime Titan skins for Ronin and Tone along with new nose art, camos and callsigns to purchase from the store. Players can also expect a new execution to earn called Now You See Me which works with the Cloak ability.
Finally, the fan favourite, Titanbrawl, will be making a return, offering double XP.
Titanfall 2 is out now on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
