Molyneux Admits Difficult Curiosity Launch, “We Weren’t Prepared”

November 14, 2012 by Julie Horup

Don’t worry, Peter. New servers await you in the cube.

Curiosity: What's Inside the Cube? hasn't exactly had the best launch. Actually it's been a bit of a mess with dodgy servers.

While I'm sure there's a bunch of new servers for 22 Cans inside the actual cube, Peter Molyneux has admitted that the studio wasn't prepared for the amount of traffic that hit their servers.

"What your article says is right," said Molyneux to MCV while responding to an article about the troubles of Curiosity.

"We were not prepared for the numbers that hit our app. I can be as proud as I like about how hard people have worked and how quickly they've implemented a completely new server system – it's miraculous – but at the end of the day I have to put my hand on my heart and say 'it's not good enough'. And it isn't good enough."

We feel your pain, Peter.
